Afmental is a mental health therapy platform that provides a complete ecosystem for connecting patients with therapists across web and mobile interfaces. At its core the platform enables patients to discover culturally matched therapists, book and pay for sessions, attend video consultations and track their wellness journey. It also gives therapists the tools to manage their practice, document clinical notes and receive payment while adhering to healthcare compliance standards.
02The Challenge
Before the current platform Afmental operated as a minimum viable market place which served the organizations early needs but quickly reached its limits as demand grew and regulatory requirements tightened.
03Our Solution
We designed and built the Afmental platform from the ground up as a modern, security-first, compliant, culturally informed mental healthcare system. The architecture was driven by three principles: clinical-grade data security, regulatory compliance by design and cultural relevance at a touch-point.
